GRIDSERVE: Print & Digital Design

Organisation: GRIDSERVE — a leading sustainable-energy company specialising in solar generation, battery storage and EV charging infrastructure.
Role: Senior Graphic Designer
Focus area: Print and digital design across branding collateral, multi-channel campaigns and stakeholder communications for GRIDSERVE’s energy & mobility business.

Context & Challenge

GRIDSERVE is on a mission to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles by delivering solar-powered charging infrastructure (its “Sun-to-Wheel” ecosystem).
In this environment, design plays a crucial role: not only in driving awareness and differentiation in a crowded sustainable mobility sector, but also in engaging internal stakeholders, B2B partners, and mass-market audiences.
My challenge was to embed strong, coherent branding and communication design across print and digital touch-points—while operating in a fast-moving, innovation-led company where sustainability, energy technology and customer experience converge.

My Approach

  • I worked hands-on to deliver a mix of print and digital assets: for example, campaign launches, event collateral, presentations, internal communications and brand-touch materials.

  • My web-development background and video-editing experience (After Effects) enabled me to bridge static and motion design, delivering digital animations and video content in support of major initiatives.

  • Organising multiple priorities and stakeholders: given GRIDSERVE’s cross-functional nature (energy, infrastructure, marketing, retail), I coordinated with engineering, brand, sustainability, and commercial teams to ensure the design outputs aligned with broader strategy.

  • Applying sustainability design thinking: the company’s brand and visual identity reflect its clean-energy and future-mobility ethos. I ensured that materials supported this direction—for instance by using appropriate imagery, tone, and layout consistent with the brand’s “clean energy / future mobility” positioning.

Key Projects & Contributions

  • Brand-consistent campaign collateral: I produced print and digital assets that communicated new product launches and charging-network roll-outs—a visually coherent suite of materials that spanned from large-format print signage to online motion graphics.

  • Stakeholder presentations and deck design: I designed major pitch and internal presentation decks, ensuring the brand visual identity and messaging were effective for senior stakeholders and partners.

  • Multi-channel digital content: From concept through to execution, I created social carousel designs, Motion Graphics in After Effects, and collaborated with digital media teams to deliver campaign animations.

  • Print material production: I managed print-ready artwork for brochures, large-format installations and signage at point-of-use (e.g., at charging sites), liaising with printers and suppliers to ensure high-quality output that aligned with GRIDSERVE’s sustainability ethos.

  • Project management & juggled workflows: My organisational skills ensured that multiple design projects were delivered on time, within brand guidelines, and to high standards—even when requirements evolved quickly in a dynamic company environment.

Results & Impact

  • The design assets I delivered supported GRIDSERVE’s ability to present a consistent, professional brand — reinforcing its position as a forward-thinking sustainable energy and mobility company.

  • My work helped elevate GRIDSERVE’s marketing and external communications, contributing to stronger brand recognition and the ability to engage partners and customers through compelling visuals.

  • By bridging print, digital and motion design, I enabled integrated communications across channels, improving workflow efficiency and ensuring brand-consistency.

  • My ability to manage multiple projects concurrently (across print and digital) and in a fast-paced setting meant that the design team could respond rapidly to new opportunities and shifting priorities.
